OFR and the Fire Marshal's office remind citizens that fireworks are illegal in the City limits.
The Odessa Fire Marshal’s office and Odessa Fire Rescue would like to remind citizens it is illegal to sell, possess or explode fireworks in the City limits, and within 5,000 feet of the City limits. Citations will be written to anyone found with fireworks inside the City limits.
Dry conditions and high winds can quickly spread a single spark into a large fire.
Discharging a firearm in City limits is also illegal and dangerous and you could be charged and arrested.
