Odessa College is home to the Globe Theatre – a 410- seat venue hosting theatre performances and community activities. the idea of the reconstruction of a Shakesperean Theater in Odessa originated in 1948 in Mrs. Marjorie Morris’ senior English class at Odessa High School as a project of the OHS Shakespeare Club. In the 1960s, the vision of then Odessa College professor Marjorie Morris came to fruition in the construction of the Globe Theater at Odessa College.
