Feeding First Responders

Chief Gerke and Trina Morales

Chief Gerke and Trina Morales  The woman who puts it together is La Margarita's owner, Trina Morales.

"It's a time to say thank you. These are the people that keep Odessa safe."

Trina doesn't see this event ending anytime soon! Different First Responder agencies participated in the breakfast, such as the Odessa Police Department, Odessa Fire Rescue, City of Odessa Dispatch, Ector County Sheriff’s Department and more.

"This is a great way to see other officers and agencies outside of the office,” said Odessa Police Chief Mike Gerke.

Odessa Fire Rescue Chief Jason Cotton described the event as a fellowship.

The City of Odessa Mayor Javier Joven and City Manager John Backmeyer also attended the breakfast. This was Beckmeyer's first time at the event.

He said, “It's great to see a community that comes together. It's my first time seeing this type of support for First Responders."

Thank you to Trina and the La Margarita family for always supporting our First Responders.
