Odessa City Mayor Javier Joven and many of our Odessa City Council Members were there as Odessa’s new City Manager John Beckmeyer spoke with the media for the first time.
Odessa’s new City Manager, John Beckmeyer, is on day six of the job. Today, he spoke with the media for the first time in his new gig.
“Whenever you enter into a leadership position, it’s not about you anymore. It’s about the team, and it’s about the citizens,” said Beckmeyer.
Council Member Mark Matta also gave some background on the in-depth search for the new City Manager.
“One of the top requirements was integrity,” said Council Member Mark Matta.
