
Inspired by his mom and grandma, Justin Granado never wanted to have to ask for anything. He says his father wasn’t around, and he learned a strong work ethic from the women in his family. His mom worked two to three jobs just to make ends meet.
The Odessa native says he played some basketball and golf growing up, but working out wasn’t really his thing. He recalls how his actual journey to healthiness started. He was managing a Blockbuster Video in college. Remember those?
They started shutting down, so he needed to find a job.
“I was a broke college student, about to be even more broke; that was my turning point.”
Thirteen years ago, he became a personal trainer. Then, soon after, his dreams grew, and he wanted to own a gym. He is the owner of Crossfit 432. In September, he’ll be celebrating 11 years in business.
Justin talks about a message in his classes: you create your opportunities, and if you have a vision, you can make it a reality. He also posts a “verse of the day!” Today’s message: Matthew 9:37-38.
