
"Odessa Under 40" honors individuals under 40 who excel in their professions and contributions. Tonight, Odessa Police Lieutenant Lacey is one of those being honored. The 6th Annual "Odessa Under 40 event" is taking place at the Odessa Marriott and is hosted by the Young Professionals of
Odessa.
He is also a Training Coordinator for OPD and oversees the Odessa Police Academy, among other duties. He's been with the department since 2007, serving in various roles: Field Training Officer, Academy Instructor, Bomb Technician, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Firearms Instructor, and Fitness Instructor.
Lt. Lacey is homegrown, born and raised in Odessa, and an Odessa High School graduate. He earned a B.A. in Organizational Leadership and Human Resource Development and a Master's in Business Administration from Texas Tech University. He also earned a Master of Public Service Administration (Executive Program) from Texas A&M University. Last year, Caleb graduated from the 282nd Session of the FBI National Academy for law enforcement leaders.
The Odessa native has volunteered for the Special Olympics of Texas Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) since June 2012. He was awarded the City of Odessa Employee of the Year in 2011. In 2015, he was honored with the Odessa Police Department Medal of Valor.
