From all sorts of comic books to Pokemon cards to Dungeons and Dragons, you will find some pretty unique items on North Dixie. James Laws owns “The Hive Comics” in Odessa.
As a kid, he recalls coming to “The Hive Comics” and feeling like a kid in a candy store. He was in awe of everything there! He made his Marvel dream a reality in 2019, the owner was looking to sell, and he bought it.
What did he do before? He was slinging meat at the HEB deli and worked in restaurants. It’s a reminder you can change your career path at any time.
If you are new to the comic book scene, he recommends the Marvel or DC comics, especially if you enjoy the movies. James says you can’t go wrong with one of those.
