After eight years of raising her five kids full-time, Alejandra Cardona made her way back to the workforce. She is one of the City of Odessa’s hardworking Solid Waste Drivers.
“It’s a stress relief coming to work. I also really enjoy my coworkers.”
Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, she worked in the oilfield.
Alejandra is helping at our Recycling Center, also known as the Time Machine, and assists residents in placing items in the containers. She believes in helping the environment and recycles.
“I love seeing the changes and know it’s for the better!”
Alejandra is originally from Chihuahua but has lived in Odessa for 40 years.
