Residents were excited to be able to drop off their recyclables once again.

The Recycling Center, also known as the Time Machine, reopened today (Monday, June 19th) after being shut down for the past month.
Renovations have been underway and will continue on the facility. It includes a new 6 ft fence, one entry and exit gate as well as some new paint projects.
The
Recycling Center will also now have the same hours as the Household Hazardous Waste/Citizen Bulk Drop Off Facility.
Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm
Saturday 8 am - 12 pm
Citizens can only drop off within these hours to keep recyclables from being “contaminated.” Contamination is where people are accidentally mixing trash with recyclables. As a result, they can no longer be recycled.
Here’s what will be available:
4 cardboard containers
4 plastic containers
2 containers for mixed paper and newspaper
Residents will be able to park in the same spots and walk the materials to the bins.
We appreciate your patience during this transition. Lets all continue to work hard to “KEEP ODESSA BEAUTIFUL!”
UPDATE: Residents can only drop off recyclables for now. We will be expanding to allow businesses to drop off in bulk in the future.
