For 14 years, Sonya has worked for the City of Odessa. Currently, she wears numerous hats. She's a Quality Assurance Specialist, Custodian of Records and Background Investigator. It's part of our Public Safety Communications Department. She started that position four years ago. Prior to that, she was a dispatcher. "Even if I’m not dispatching, I’m always looking for ways to recognize dispatchers and to provide them with feedback that will encourage continual growth, which improves the service we provide to our citizens."
She knows firsthand it's NOT an easy job!

Sonya was born and raised here. She loves that Odessans are so proud and encouraging when they see someone else from Odessa going on to do big things!
