This unprecedented weather event has caused many issues for our City and our residents.

This unprecedented weather event has caused many issues for our City and our residents. We recognize there are still so many without power at this time.
The City is aware that in ERCOT and Oncor are working to find resolutions to the current power outages. In the mean time, we must continue to work together as a community to conserve gas, power, and water.
The City in partnership with Salvation Army and the Copper Rose building have set up temporary shelters that will be open today until tomorrow for those seeking to stay warm.
We are asking citizens to help by checking on their neighbors, in particular the elderly, to ensure they do not need assistance. OFR and OPD are responding to calls for service all over the area, and the best way we can thank them is by doing our part to keep ourselves safe: do not travel unless absolutely necessary and do not shelter in your vehicle.
Warming Centers:
The shelters are at The Cooper Rose Building, 415 N Grant Ave, and The Salvation Army, 810 E 11th St.
