On October 27th, 2022, just after 1 am, The Odessa Police Department and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to a car Pedestrian crash in the 2400 bock of W I-20 in the east bound lanes. Evidence and witness statements confirm that a White 2020 International Truck Tractor was traveling east in the outside lane 2400 W I-20.
A Pedestrian, later identified as Pilar Moon of Kermit Texas, was walking in the outside eastbound lane ahead of the International. The driver of the International took evasive action to avoid striking Ms. Moon. However, impact was still made.
Ms. Moon was pronounced deceased on scene. Ms. Moon's next of kin was notified on this date. No charges have been filed, Investigation continues.
